Simulation burning

The simulation burning is a test procedure to make sure that the data will burn to the disc correctly. However, no data will actually be written to the disc. You can use it to test your burning settings and the burning drive before actual burning. Simulation burning can test the writer hardware, file permissions, and the destination disc size, etc. If simulation burning succeed, you can then do an actual burning.

To perform a simulation burning, please follow the steps,

  • Prepare files which you need backup. Please visit the below link for how to prepare files for burning.

  • In "Burn" dialog, click "More settings...".

  • The "Burning settings" dialog will popup. Please check the option, "Simulation burning".

  • Click "OK" to exit  "Burning settings" dialog.

  • Click "Burn" button in "Burn" dialog to start simulation burning. 

PowerISO will show the progress of simulation burning. If no errors found, you should get the message "Simulation burning complete successfully." after the simulation burning complete.
